Liverpool Sign Robbie Keane

Post  SOM82 on Mon Jul 28, 2008 9:29 pm

So i wake up today to see robbie keane has joined liverpool for a deal worth around 20.3 million pounds .... Shocked

F^ck me, i hope rafa knows what he's doing ... I think keane is good, but not THAT good.
Who knows, maybe along side torres with gerrard firing balls in they might form a great partnership, i sure hope so Cool

bad team

Not a bad signing could be worse. I do think there has to be someone better and personally im suprised he didnt find a way to get David Villa.

Robbie Keane

It's certainley a gamble...

Robbie keane scored most his goals last season from berbatov flickin the ball on with his head, torres wont do that so obv they gonna be playing with the ball on the floor.

but although the service he will be getting will be different i still thing he is mobile and talented enough to prove a good signing and i think if torres and keane are played together it will become a very formiddable partnership and i would be happy if i was a liverpool fan that they've decided to buy a proven premierleague striker, because you've had your expensive risks over recent year..

morientes
cisse
diouf (became great but was naff for l'pool and much hated? lol)

to name three. so proven premierleague pedigree may be worth 20m.

yeah i was also thinking the same, atleast there wont be that time lost where foreign players take time to settle etc etc. I was reading up on robbies stats too, they are awesome. And with him being a life long liverpool fan he should be giving 120% per game !
If they get barry aswell then i think we're definately in with a shot at the title. bad team

I have no bloody idea, but he does have pretty good pace and a clever touch, he was responsible for our two goals against everton. I think given time he will be the perfect strike partner for torres. Torres will be the one banging them in game after game but keane will be there setting them up and getting his share. He is enough of a threat too that defenders have to be more awake against our midfield, because we wont be pumping the ball straight to torres.

Keane is worth about 15 goals or more a season on average which should do us nicely
