Novo can't become part of the Tartan Army

Glasgow Rangers' Spanish hitman claimed last week that he would respond to any call for him to appear for Scotland - the 29-year-old would be eligible for a British passport after having worked in the country for eight years.

Scotland boss George Burley had considered drafting in Novo, but the idea was ...

Earlier this evening there was speculation that Maradona may win the race and now it has been confirmed that El Pibe d'Oro has indeed been appointed as the new national team coach of Argentina.

Although many expected one of the three other candidates to be his assistant, the responsibility ...

The new FIFA world rankings have been released and the big news involves the the CONCACAF giants as the US team rose seven spots to #21 effectively passing #24 Mexico.

Not since August had the US team been above the Mexicans and at that point it was only by one position. Prior to that you have to look all the way back to June of 2007 the last time the US beat out Mexico in the rankings, when they were 10 spots ahead of El Tri.

The US has taken all the available points from their matches ...

I think Spain will remain supreme but argentina will have a case. i think spains squad as euro played the best consistently and with a young squad players like villa/torres/iniesta/ramos/fabregas are gonna get even better. Xavi and Puyol may be missed but they could still be in the squad as world cups tend to see the older/experienced players

Is this possible or not? I remember in 1998 world cup Jamaica did good, but against the power houses like Argentina we were demoralized and even recently, Trinidad ...
