PS3 Games...

with the amount of games available still pritty limited and the amount of good games available shockingly low. no site of playstation 'home' and the gimmick of play TV-the price we paid for the playstation is looking crazy

GTA IV and COD 4 and MGS 4 are the only real quality games available-although i love GRID

is the playstation 3 worth it?

how pleased with the console are you since paying so much for it?
i got mine on UK release date and im thinking it was worth every penny-but i cant wait for the next set of games to come out-fifa09 being the highlight of course

im happy but concerned at the lack of good games too, maybe the game designers are still trying to get the most out of the console before releasing any top games. I mean unless your EA sports the funding needed to develop a game for the ps3 must be incredible ....

btw is grid really a good game ? i havnt played it but it looks awesome !
mgs4 was amazing, i love that game.

assassins creed was great at first but was boring once you realised the entire game was going to flow the same way as the first level did !

I cant wait for UFC 2009. The game looks like it will be amazing.

Is anyone else going to get it? I hear it comes out late February.

Resident Evil 5 i reeeeaaaaaaallllllllyyyyyyyy cant wait for. Resident evil 4 was a very good game and from what ive read they have made many improvements and the game play looks very real.

Also the enemies/zombies whatever they are lol now run in the game so it will be more challenging. I cant wait.

yeah early footage of resi looks pretty creepy. ive never played through that series much but the graphics n stuff look to gd to miss lol

GRID is fantastic, so fast and soo many different classes of car that your 100% guaranteed to like one class. i think the only class missing is dirt/rally class and thats coz 'colin mcrae DIRT' is by the same people and offers the GRID experience in rally style.

online is fast + furious, although you get the odd tit ramming you off the road-o driving backwards round the track lol-i must admit ive been guilty of doing that on 2 accounts-its just too tempting lol

but in certain races you can set collisions to only 'forward' so people going the wrong way wont be able to get ya. you can also turn collisions off n damage off completely but where's the fun in tht!?

its the damage system that makes it aswel-although its unforgiving onlyn-one bad move can see you out of the race if your car crumples into a rubble heap. but on single-player theres a 'flashback' system-where you can rewind time anywer between 1-5 seconds and attempt that hairpin again-but a little slower!

you want any more information al b api to give it.

there should be a demo available via the PSN-if not set up another account-a UK one and get it. at first you will spin out of control on bends-but when you realise that if you are less heavy on the accelerator coming out of corners you will soon be sliding and speeding round corners with ease

oh n im not sure about UFC lol it looks mental

may be one i will wanna try first lol depends what else comes out around that time coz if nothin much else is doing then it may be worth a go, certainly looks fierce

And resi 5 ..... omfg ! Im gonna have to go check that out, i loved the early ones

its worth gettin just for the first race in the career in a 'eleanor'-type ford mustang

also the sounds of the game are incredible, feels like your driving a powerful hunk of metal wheras other racing games often feel like the car is a bit light

yeah real lack of games, but fifa is the only game for me so im happy also with it being a blu ray player as well its great,
I cant wait for UFC its gonna be great, come on the count

I only play Fifa, and Madden Football. So - i am fine with my ps3 because they give me a good time while playing. Fifa on PC look ridicular.
Blue Ray is also a nice side effect.

Actually i have no time for other games.

Almost picked it up on the weekend - wasnt ready to part with $110 aussy dollars for it though ! Especially once fifa 09 comes out, grid will just sit there gathering dust lol
My sis reckoned she saw a pre-owned copy for $75 so i might go this weekend and pick it up.... i still havnt finished need for speed yet come to think of it lol

lol thats what i was like with brothers in arms:hells highway, i thought it looked good but payin full price for a game for a week isnt the best idea

grid owns need for speed-although you cant realy customise your car at all on grid-just pick 3 colours for it and where ya sponsors go lol. a few pre-done vinyls but nothin special for customise, its jus a fast and crazy racing game lol

not long now til fifa!
