Kangaroos in Northwestern Germany ?
Guest from down under in Bremen
Werder Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf has a new face to keep an eye on in training this week - and one who has come a long way to do it.
Australian Mark Milligan international has been trying out with the squad since Wednesday. Sporting director Klaus Allofs said, "He'll be training with us until Friday at least. He's an interesting young man who we've been observing for some time now. He played well at the Olympics and can slot in in a several positions at the back."
In 2006 World Cup squad
The 23-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising players to come out of Australia in recent years. Milligan was first called up for Australia in 2003 and was part of their World Cup squad in 2006, although he did not get to play in the finals in Germany. He has been with FC Sydney in his home country for the past three years.
Maybe he stays in bremen.
